![]() Where does the name “ Skadoodles ” come from? We have purses, candles, jewelry, scarves, cards, scrubs, lotion and perfume from Ireland and some unique home décor items like origami napkins and Kim's original barbecue sauce. What other items do you sell besides clothing? We look to stock clothing that can be reasonably priced and we carry all sizes, not like some boutiques with only small sizes. I will call interested parties the moment new inventory arrives. Personal service is the key to selling clothing and we know and take care of our customers. What sets you apart from other boutiques? We try to provide a wide variety of styles. We also buy all sizes, not limiting our clothing to any particular size range. We very seldom carry anything that needs to be cleaned. We buy unique, quality clothing and above all washable clothes. We only buy so much and when it is gone, it is gone. The clothes we buy are often one-of-a-kind and we are unable to reorder because our vendors only make so many of each item. ![]() Most of our vendors sell mainly to boutiques. We attempt to be unique and provide options that you will not find in any department store. When we go to show we make sure the vendor does not sell to places like Nordstrom's. How do you try ensure your clothes cannot be bought off the rack at Nordstrom's and other elite chains? We buy from Denver Mart and the Las Vegas show in February where all the large stores, such as Nordstrom's, buy. At Skadoodles, the customer feels welcome and is encouraged to browse at length with Heath on hand to answer questions and offer expert advice. It may occur to some that the word “Skadoodles” might be akin to the word “skedaddle.” Not even close in this instance. Heath always loved clothing, and her keen sense of style combined with her desire to share that love makes her the perfect fit for Skadoodles, where individualized attention is the norm. She encourages patrons to branch out and may suggest something out of your comfort zone that becomes a favorite article of clothing. However, Heath's honest assessment of what would look best on the individual is what sets her apart. Her knowledge of the unique qualities of each item of clothing and appropriate accessories is immediately evident. Talk to Heath briefly about your needs and, presto, you have a personal shopper. Presiding over these eclectic items is Mary Heath, who has worked with Beaver for 15 years. Some home décor, lotions, and even Beaver's original barbecue sauce partially round out the inventory. Skadoodles Boutique in Elizabeth is owned by Kiowa resident Kimberley Beaver and carries unique, often one-of-a-kind clothing and other accessories to accent that special outfit or enhance last year's find.
